Forleden aften da solen lige var gået ned men himlen stadig var oplyst kiggede jeg på en flyver i horisonten imod vest. Lidt overrasket så jeg flere lysglimt i det fjerne. De var ganske kortvarige og jeg kom i tvivl om det var mine øjne der spillede mig et pus, så jeg kaldte på min kærreste men hun så dem også. Mit gæt er at det var satelitter der glimtede i solen. Vi [ell. nogle] måler vores lykke i forhold til andre.
I dag koster det mere at opretholde et bestemt niveau af lykke end det gjorde for 50 år siden. Velstandsudvidelsen fører ikke liniært til mere lykke. Den forøgede velstand gavner os dog under alle omstændigheder, for selvom vi slipper vores tag i lykken, når vi ser naboens nye bil, melder lykkens nabo, ulykken, sig ikke automatisk hver gang vi skal spise eller have varme i hjemmet.

Økonomi som kriterium for krisehjælp
Ser vi på store kriser verden over, er der en tendens til kriteriet for den eksterne relation til kriseramte, er den der har det største økonomiske potentiale.
Den samlede sum af økonomisk vinding er større des rigere man er: Det økonomiske potentiale er større for rige end for fattige. Hjælpen eller den manglende hjælp til afrikanske konflikter præges derfor af, at der er et større økonomisk potentiale i ikke at løse krisernes grujndlæggende problemer. Der er et større økonomisk potentiale i 1) at holde de fattige uden for konkurrencen, 2) at sælge våben til stridende parter. Ser vi på tsunami katastrofen i Asien, adskilder den sig fra afrikanske situationer ved, at Asien i forvejen var et stor økonomisk område, med mange investeringer og stort potentiale. Derfor er der det største økonomiske potentiale i genopbygning, fremfor e.g. våbensalg.

In this approach one can look at the universe as directly participating in each quantum effect in real time. In other words, the concept of a First Cause starting things off (winding up the clock of the universe, one might say) and then leaving the laws of physics to run things, may be what is incorrect in the basic approach of classical physics.
Rather, in this participatory scenario, the Cause of the laws of physics remains an active Participant.
It would appear that what has ?happened? in the distant past in this case may be determined by what is happening right now even though it is supposed to have ?happened? over a billion years ago. The choice of which path, in other words, has somehow been ?delayed.? One might view this as the Universe playing more the part of an active participant in what is happening rather than just in what has happened in the past in this case. Hence the ?Participatory Universe? conceptualization.
This interesting Gedanken experiment points out what may be the main difference between general relativity and quantum physics. In general relativity time is a definite dimension, part of the already unalterable space-time continuum. While in quantum physics, time is, at best, a variable, and is also quantized (i.e. there are particles of time). Thus far from being an absolute, time in quantum physics is not a solid background upon which particles in space change. In quantum physics time is not yet really, in a sense, even there until the ?time particles? are measured.

The right devotion should have the right sincerity, the right ?. I could go on? but I say nothing onto you by saying this. The words you read are empty if meaning and the meaning you read arise out of this moment of reading, only mildly guided by this moment of writing. I will stop and try another approach to see if it should bestow us with a more direct meaning, for I hope I can do better than a mild steering of a speeding train.
For you to manifest Sambhala in your time, what should you do? Shambhala is a place of joy. In every moment it is where there is pure transcendent joy. To manifest Shambhala you must there for enjoy yourself. So your problem becomes this, how to be joyous without burning your savings. This should be enough for you to know, and you know it of course, - for it is obvious.

Vi lever under et forbrydervælde
Jeg er ked af at skrive dette brev, for det første fordi jeg tror, at det peger på noget rigtigt. For det andet fordi, jeg ikke tror at det som sådan sandheden. Det er en filosofisk brøler: jeg gør det virkeligt ved at sige at det er virkeligt.
Lad det nu ligge og komme til pointen.
Vi lever under et forbrydervælde. Vores lande er de værste forbrydere verden har set i mands minde, men værre er de når de rotter sig sammen og agerer som forbryderbander. Jeg tror at mange af de mennesker der er med i disse kolosser, af et oprigtigt hjerte føler at de arbejder for det gode. Men sagen er bare, at det gode er blevet væk i forvirringen for rigtigt mange år siden. Det gode tabte da atombomben blev brugt. Det gode tabte da der blev bygget hundredetusinder af nye. Det gode tabte da vi lavede toldmurene. Det gode tabte da ulandene kom i bundløs gæld. Det gode tabte med landbrugsstøtten. Det gode tabte med Irak krigen. Det gode tabte da Palæstina blev erobret. Det gode tabte da den første selvmordsbomber sprang, og de andre syntes at det var en god ide.
Derfor tror jeg desværre ikke at de løsninger disse forbrydere finder på, virker. Jeg tvivler dybt på dem, fordi de alle, hver og en, gang på gang har vist, at alt hvad de gør, gør de kun for deres egen skyld. De gør det kun fordi de for mere ud af det end de giver. Ak! Hvilken lede...
Nå, men nok galde for denne gang.. Det er sgu så plat og ukonstruktivt.
